In accordance with the Association's bylaws, elections for all six officers and two directors were held at the annual business meeting on Sunday, 1 May. As Ms. Kim Overall had decided not to run again as Secretary (2007-2010), Mr. Wes Tunnell chose not to run again as Director (2004-2010), and Mr. Don Roberts (Director 2010-2012) was nominated for the office of Executive Vice President, new candidates for these positions were nominated by the Nominating Committee. All candidates recommended by the Nominating Committee chaired by Mr. Roger Muckerheide and approved by the board of directors were elected by the acclamation of the members present with the exception of the office of Secretary. Upon the call for any nominations from the floor by the Elections Officer, Vice President Crockett Keller, Mr. Bob Eder nominated former Secretary Ms. Russelle Heard for the position, opposing the nominated candidate Mr. Eric Jensen. Upon invitation, both candidates addressed the membership present stating their qualifications for the position, and giving some pertinent information from their background. By majority vote in a "hands raised" count, Ms. Heard emerged as the winning candidate. *As Mr. Don Roberts, an incumbent director, was elected to the office of Executive Vice President, the board announced the appointment of Mr. Drexel Doran to assume the balance of the current year of Mr. Robert's vacated directorship, and will, if he so chooses, run for re-election in 2012 in order to complete the final year.
