The flared grip frame of this model gives the No.3 Belt Model a very distinctive appearance, shared with the larger No.5 Holster Model, also known as the Texas Paterson.  This mid-framed pistol  was also mostly in .32 calibre, and was manufactured between 1838 and 1840.
