Last year a
gun very similar to this one was sold at the TGCA fall auction,
realizing a net gain in excess of $3,000.00 for the Association.
That gun and the one below were from a series of thirty made
available by special order of members in the mid to late eighties.
In actual fact thirty-one guns were made as one was the prototype
and was so numbered. That was the gun sold last year.
This gun was ordered and delivered to R.L. Wilson, noted
author of numerous firearms related articles and books, and was
later sold at auction. TGCA bought it back and there is now a
two page Colt letter included in the package.
This revolver was sold at the Fall 2007 auction on
Saturday, 15 September 2007, and the proceeds will be divided
between the association and the philanthropic foundation fund now
being established. TGCA will use the first $3,000.00 to help
fund the next Foundation Fundraiser, and the balance will be split
between the association's general treasury and the Foundation Fund,
the lion's share going to the fund. |
